Biography

Leah Marie Markus is an artist currently working out of South Central Pennsylvania.  Leah works in many mediums and is always excited to experiment with new ones.  She was born and raised in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania and there she was instilled with an admiration for nature that pushes her to create. 

Leah Marie always had an affinity for art.  She earned small honors for her work throughout her first and secondary schooling.  Leah attended Moore College of Art and Design.  There she studied and graduated with a degree in Three Dimensional Fine Art.  During her time at Moore she was granted the Sarah Peter Travel Fellowship and went to Ecuador.  That experience continues to inspire her work. 

After graduating in 2008 Leah Marie returned to the area where she was raised and set up a studio.  Though still participating in the Philadelphia art scene she enjoys the benefits of rural living in the Appalachians of Pennsylvania.
